Our training facility comprises of a briefing room where our students learn the theory (ground school). This complements our online ground school which is available anytime on demand. The Eastrise Aviation briefing room is a learning resource for students who prefer taught ground school to learning online as well as those who prefer blended learning. This modern facility has a capacity of 10 students at a time. We prefer a low student-instructor ratio to ensure that our students get the most from their ground instruction.
Student Waiting Area
We also have a student waiting area which doubles as a conference room and eating area. This allows students to either study as they wait for their classes as well as according them a safe environment from the elements. During lunch time, the waiting area serves as a dining place. Students thus spare precious time they would have wasted if they were to walk outside to look for meals.
Our full-time flight instructors have a dedicated office which enables them to prepare for lessons as well as to have one-on-one meetings with students. The office presently accommodates two instructors and is fully equipped with furniture as well as desktop computers which are hooked to the local area network and the internet.
Head of Training’s Office
The Eastrise Aviation Head of Training has a dedicated office assigned to him. This provides a conducive environment for students to provide feedback on their training. The HoT is responsible for curriculum review, recruitment of flight instructors, appraisal of their performance and other functions. He also doubles as our internal pilot examiner.
Our front office seats the Administration Manager as well as the Administrative Assistant. It also doubles as our visitors reception. We have a dedicated glass display for our on-campus pilot shop items. The office is equipped with a first aid kit, fire-fighting equipment as well as a heavy-duty industrial printer for both staff and student use as required.
Our CEO has a separate office to enable him provide leadership as well as to host visitors and students in a quiet and enabling environment. The office is open to students and enforces our open-door-policy which aims at removing unnecessary bureaucracy.
We have separate restrooms for both male and female members of the Eastrise community. This provides privacy and comfort to students and instructors alike. The ladies restroom has a separate shower and is supplied with sanitary pads for emergency use.
The Eastrise facility has a separate kitchen and pantry. Our staff receive free meals which are prepared in-house. Students wishing to partake of these meals pay a small fee as required.
