Aviation Safety Management System
Course Introduction
This course is designed for all flying training organisations. We have developed it to promote a safety culture, guide the safety audit process and to ensure that safety issues are given priority than cost saving. The Malawi Civil Aviation Authority (the Directorate of Civil Aviation) requires that safety management systems (SMS) are implemented and that they conform to standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). This SMS course is an in-house training programme and is thus only available to Eastrise Aviation staff, students and a few privileged individuals.
AIM OF THE COURSE
The Eastrise SMS course aims at helping the student with the knowledge, attitude, and skills to be able to develop, implement and manage a Safety Management System in an aviation-related organisation.
Assessment Method
All participants will be required to attend at least 95 percent of the lessons and pass an exam which will be administered online on our exam delivery platform. The passmark is 75 percent. The student will also be required to submit a short research project report in the form of an essay.
Just like all the courses on the Eastrise Aviation website, this course is governed by our terms and conditions and privacy policy. This includes prohibition of copying, screenshotting, and granting of access to unauthorised personnel among others. This course must only be accessed by a human subject using a regular web browser. All other methods are prohibited.
