Passing aviation exams at the first attempt not only helps you save money during your flight training. It also helps you to leverage your confidence and momentum. Here are a few tips on how to pass your Malawi pilot licence exams at least in one attempt.
Ensure You Have Covered All Topics
Know what is expected in the exams in terms of skills level. Your syllabus is the best source of information on this. Most importantly, get the best ground school training possible. A blend of taught and online ground school is a helpful combo that will help you cement your learning from both platforms.
Practice Practice Practice!
Ground school is of limited use if you do not practice and simulate real exam conditions. Take some mock exams under real exam conditions. Face your fears and build confidence.
Remember that the pass mark for Malawi aviation exams is 75 percent – just as in most parts of the world. This proves that the Malawi aviation standards are at par with international standards and recommended practices.
Arrive early at the exam center to have time to empty your bladder, settle in and get to know the staff. Courtesy is everything!
Be Food Wise
Avoid over eating. Avoid eating foods you seldom eat as they may upset your stomach. Foods to stay away from include spices, chili and those stomach-irritating foods on your not-to-eat list.
Get Rid of Internal Noise
Get enough sleep the night before the exams. You want to arrive fresh and ready. Avoid caffeinated drinks the night before your exams. Change your beddings (bedsheets of course) so that you have a fresh clean set. Put aside your phone and social media if possible. Most importantly, get rid of family noise – a day before your exams is definitely not the day to go for your divorce hearing at court! Gather your emotional strength and give it a go!
