It will be updated regularly and at times within a short notice or without notice at all should internal and external factors necessitate. First things First
Our registered business name is Eastrise Aviation. Our official website address is: https://www.eastriseaviation.com and is served over a secure sockets layer and/or TLS protocol(s). Our website (domain) has several subdomains at https://exams.eastriseaviation.com, https://booking.eastriseaviation.com, https://flightschool.eastriseaviation.com and others. We may add more domains as need arises. Our primary domain is hosted by a third party who is also responsible for domain name renewals, both at a fee. We have used a common template to customise this privacy policy to suit our internal and operating environment needs.
Personal data we collect and why
Information you create or provide to us
When you sign up for an account on the Eastrise Aviation website, subdomain, Android App or iOS app, you provide us with personal information. This can include your email address, name, birthday, gender, your password, mobile phone number, photos, and personal preferences. We will, when you subscribe to our Flight Scheduling site, modify your Google Calendar events through an automated process. We will NOT delete your personal calendar events apart from the ones we create on our website related to your flying training schedule which will synchronise with your calendar to allow you to view your flight training schedules and other events related to your training, as well as receive automated reminders if set on your training flights or other events. We will manually disconnect this service from your Google Calendar and Google account in general when you graduate or discontinue training with Eastrise Aviation. You may also unlink your calendar by clicking the green CONNECTED TO GOOGLE CALENDAR button. Confirmation of the delinking can be confirmed when the button changes from green to blue and shows CONNECT GOOGLE CALENDAR. We are not able to connect your Google calendar to our system – this is a manual process which must be initiated by you on your end when you login into the Eastrise Flight Booking system using your email address as well as to your Google account on your device. Please note that Google Calendar and the Google logo are trademarks of Google Inc., and are governed by Google’s privacy policy as well as their terms of service.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Although we reserve the right, we are not obligated in any way to moderate any and all conversations, blog posts, discussions, topics, tags, posts or images – be it in the Eastrise discussion forums, blog, events pages and other resources.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We collect data from contact and other forms on our website such as feedback forms, information request forms et cetera. We also collect IP addresses of the sender to enable us track spam submissions in the hope of backlisting them. This may enable us to locate the country as well as the district, city or town where the IP address originates from. We are not aware if we are able to locate even the exact place where the information is sent from but this could be a possibility. We do not need to know the exact place. We just need to know the IP address to help us track and report spam submissions and spambot attacks.
