First things First
Personal data we collect and why
Information you create or provide to us
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We collect data from contact and other forms on our website such as feedback forms, information request forms et cetera. We also collect IP addresses of the sender to enable us track spam submissions in the hope of backlisting them. This may enable us to locate the country as well as the district, city or town where the IP address originates from. We are not aware if we are able to locate even the exact place where the information is sent from but this could be a possibility. We do not need to know the exact place. We just need to know the IP address to help us track and report spam submissions and spambot attacks.

Who we share your data with
We may, if asked, provide details of our subscribers and customers when requested by the government or any competent authority upon request – even within a short notice. This includes the police, anti-terrorism units or even foreign governments who make an official request – usually through the Malawi Government. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
